Common Carrier Forwarding Instructions

Use this guide to forward your calls from your existing phone provider to your Abby Connect forwarding number.

Have your Abby-assigned forwarding number ready before you start.

Verizon Wireless

Activate Call Forwarding

  1. On your Verizon phone, dial:
    *72 + [Your Abby Forwarding Number]

  2. Press Call.

  3. You should hear a confirmation tone or message, then the call will end.

Deactivate Call Forwarding

  1. Dial: *73

  2. Press Call.

  3. Wait for the confirmation tone/message.


AT&T Wireless

Activate Call Forwarding

  1. Dial:
    *21* + [Your Abby Forwarding Number]#

  2. Press Call.

Deactivate Call Forwarding

  1. Dial: ##21#

  2. Press Call.

Note: Compatible with most prepaid and postpaid AT&T plans.


T-Mobile Wireless

Activate Call Forwarding

  1. Dial:
    *21* + [Your Abby Forwarding Number]#

  2. Press Call.

Deactivate Call Forwarding

  1. Dial: ##21#

  2. Press Call.


Metro by T-Mobile

Activate Call Forwarding

  1. Dial:
    *72 + [Your Abby Forwarding Number]#

  2. Press Call.

Deactivate Call Forwarding

  1. Dial: *73

  2. Press Call.

Note: Call forwarding must be enabled on your plan.


Cricket Wireless

Activate Call Forwarding

  1. Dial:
    *21* + [Your Abby Forwarding Number]#

  2. Press Call.

Deactivate Call Forwarding

  1. Dial: ##21#

  2. Press Call.

Note: Some prepaid tiers may restrict call forwarding.


Boost Mobile

Activate Call Forwarding

  1. Dial:
    *72 + [Your Abby Forwarding Number]#

  2. Press Call.

Deactivate Call Forwarding

  1. Dial: *73

  2. Press Call.

Note: Available on select plans only.


💻Common VoIP & Landline Providers

Spectrum (Charter)

Activate Call Forwarding (Phone)

  1. Dial: *72

  2. Enter your Abby forwarding number.

  3. Wait for the confirmation tone, then hang up.

Deactivate

  • Dial: *73

Activate Online

  1. Log in to Spectrum Voice Online Manager.

  2. Go to SettingsCall Forwarding.

  3. Enter your Abby forwarding number and save.


Cox Communications

Activate Call Forwarding (Phone)

  1. Dial: *72

  2. Enter your Abby forwarding number.

  3. Press # and wait for the tone.

Deactivate

  • Dial: *73

Activate Online

  1. Log in to Cox Business MyAccount.

  2. Go to Voice ToolsCall Forwarding.

  3. Add your Abby forwarding number.


CenturyLink

Activate Call Forwarding

  1. Dial: *72

  2. Enter your Abby forwarding number.

  3. Wait for the confirmation tone, then hang up.

Deactivate

  • Dial: *73


RingCentral

Set Up via Admin Portal

  1. Log in to your RingCentral Admin Portal.

  2. Go to Phone SystemAuto-ReceptionistCall Handling & Forwarding.

  3. Add your Abby forwarding number as a forwarding destination.

  4. Save your changes.


💡 Tips & Troubleshooting

  • Always test after setup
    After enabling call forwarding, call your original number to confirm the call routes to Abby Connect.

  • Plan limitations
    Some wireless and VoIP plans restrict call forwarding or charge extra. If forwarding fails, check with your provider to confirm that call forwarding is enabled on your plan.

  • Wait for confirmation
    When using star codes (like *72 or *21*), always wait for the confirmation tone or message before hanging up.
