Carrier & VoIP Forwarding Codes Directory

This directory lists commonly used call forwarding activation and deactivation codes for major wireless, VoIP, and landline providers.

Have your Abby Assigned Phone Number ready before activating forwarding. You can find it in your Dashboard under Abby Assigned Phone Number(s).

Codes may vary by plan or region. If these do not work, verify call forwarding is enabled on your plan or check directly with your carrier.


Wireless Carriers

Verizon Wireless

Activate:
Dial *72 + [Your Abby Assigned Phone Number]
Press Call and wait for the confirmation tone.

Deactivate:
Dial *73
Press Call and wait for confirmation.


AT&T Wireless

Activate:
Dial 21 + [Your Abby Assigned Phone Number] + #
Press Call.

Deactivate:
Dial ##21#
Press Call.


T-Mobile Wireless

Activate:
Dial 21 + [Your Abby Assigned Phone Number] + #
Press Call.

Deactivate:
Dial ##21#
Press Call.


Metro by T-Mobile

Activate:
Dial *72 + [Your Abby Assigned Phone Number] + #
Press Call.

Deactivate:
Dial *73
Press Call.

Note: Call forwarding must be enabled on your plan.


Cricket Wireless

Activate:
Dial 21 + [Your Abby Assigned Phone Number] + #
Press Call.

Deactivate:
Dial ##21#
Press Call.

Note: Some prepaid tiers may restrict call forwarding.


Boost Mobile

Activate:
Dial *72 + [Your Abby Assigned Phone Number] + #
Press Call.

Deactivate:
Dial *73
Press Call.

Note: Available on select plans only.


VoIP & Landline Providers

Spectrum (Charter)

Activate (Phone):
Dial *72
Enter your Abby Assigned Phone Number
Wait for confirmation tone, then hang up.

Deactivate:
Dial *73

Activate (Online):
Log in to Spectrum Voice Online Manager
Go to Settings → Call Forwarding
Enter your Abby Assigned Phone Number and save.


Cox Communications

Activate (Phone):
Dial *72
Enter your Abby Assigned Phone Number
Press # and wait for confirmation.

Deactivate:
Dial *73

Activate (Online):
Log in to Cox Business MyAccount
Go to Voice Tools → Call Forwarding
Add your Abby Assigned Phone Number.


CenturyLink

Activate:
Dial *72
Enter your Abby Assigned Phone Number
Wait for confirmation tone, then hang up.

Deactivate:
Dial *73


RingCentral

Set Up via Admin Portal:
Log in to your RingCentral Admin Portal
Go to Phone System → Auto-Receptionist → Call Handling & Forwarding
Add your Abby Assigned Phone Number as a forwarding destination
Save your changes.

💡 Tips & Troubleshooting

  • Always test after setup
    After enabling call forwarding, call your original number to confirm the call routes to Abby Connect.

  • Plan limitations
    Some wireless and VoIP plans restrict call forwarding or charge extra. If forwarding fails, check with your provider to confirm that call forwarding is enabled on your plan.

  • Wait for confirmation
    When using star codes (like *72 or *21*), always wait for the confirmation tone or message before hanging up.

  • Toll-Free Numbers
    Some carriers require a leading 1 when forwarding to tolle-free numbers (such as 800-888-877, etc.). If forwarding fails, try entering the number as: 1 + [Your Abby Assigned Phone Number].
