This tool is helpful when:
A setting was changed and you're unsure by who
A contact, question, or configuration was updated or removed
You want visibility into recent administrative activity
You need internal accountability across team members
Change Logs provide transparency into portal changes across your account.
How to Access Change Logs
Log into the Abby portal
Go to Settings
Select Change Logs
What Information is Displayed
Each row in the Change Logs table represents one change made inside the portal.
Date
The exact date and time the change occurred.
This helps you understand the sequence of updates and correlate changes with system behavior.
Changed By
Shows who made the change.
This will display:
The name of a user on your account (if a portal user made the change)
"Abby" if an Abby staff member made the change on your behalf
If you see "Abby" it means the member of the Abby team made an update--typically during onboarding, troubleshooting, or requested adjustments.
Action
Indicates what type of change was made:
Add - A new item was created
Update - An existing item was modified
Delete - An item was removed
Object Name
Identifies the type of item that was changed.
Examples may include:
Contact
AI Pronunciation
Message Form Question
AI Call Handling Action
This tells you what are of the portal was affected.
Field Name
Specifies the exact field that was changed.
For example:
Contact Name
AI Pronunciation
Form Question Text
Business Hours
Previous Data
Shows what the field contained before the change.
New Data
Shows what the field was updated to.
For "Delete" actions, this may display "Deleted Contact" or similar language.
When to Use Change Logs
You may want to review Change Logs if:
A contact accidentally deleted
A question in your message form looks different
AI Call handling behavior changed unexpectedly
Business hours or greetings were updated
You need to confirm whether a team member made an adjustment
Change Logs allow you to quickly trace what changed and when.
