Setting Your Business Time Zone

Your business time zone controls how Abby Connect interprets time across your entire account.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

This setting affects:

  • Business hours and open/closed status

  • Holiday closures (Live Receptionist service)

  • Scheduling availability (AI and Live)

  • Contact status schedules

  • Time-based automations and notifications

  • Activity timestamps and reporting

If your time zone is incorrect, you may experience:

  • Calls routed at the wrong times

  • Appointments appearing offset

  • Contacts marked available when they should be unavailable

  • Reports showing unexpected timestamps

  • After-hours handling triggering incorrectly

For this reason, your time zone should be confirmed during account setup.

How to Set Your Time Zone

  1. Log in to your Abby Portal.

  2. Go to Account β†’ Company.

  3. Scroll to the Company Details section.

  4. Locate the Time Zone dropdown.

  5. Select your correct business time zone.

  6. Click Save.

Changes apply immediately across your account.

Important: Choose Your Business Location

Your time zone should reflect where your business operates β€” not where you personally are located.

Example:

If you are traveling but your office operates in Central Time, select Central Time.
