Sending New User Invite

Invite a team member to access your Abby Connect Portal. Users can access settings, call activity, contacts, and more depending on their assigned permissions. This applies to accounts using the AI Receptionist and/or Human Receptionist services.

Before You Begin

Portal users must first exist as a Contact in your account.

If the person is not listed under Contacts, create the contact first before sending an invite.


Steps to Send a User Invite

  1. Log into your Abby Portal.

  2. In the left-hand menu, go to Account β†’ Contacts.

  3. Locate the user who still needs access.

    • These users will display a Invite button next to their username.

  4. Click Invite User.

  5. Enter:

    1. Username

    2. Email

    3. Permission Level

The system will immediately send the invitation email to the address listed for that user.


Permission Levels

When inviting a user, you must select a permission type.

Permission levels determine what the user can view or edit inside the portal.

Troubleshooting

If the invite does not arrive:

  • Ask the user to check spam or junk folders.

  • Confirm the email address is correct.

  • If needed, click Edit, update the email address, and resend the invite.

If a red warning icon appears next to the user, review the contact setup to ensure required information is complete before sending the invitation.


Steps to Resend a User Invite

  1. Log into your Abby Portal.

  2. In the left-hand menu, go to Account β†’ Contacts.

  3. Locate the user who still needs access.

    • These users will display a Reinvite button next to their username.

  4. Click Reinvite.

  5. The system will immediately resend the invitation email to the address listed for that user.
